Babu's Shop

The shop was owned by Babu but his kids Anees and Rashida sit at the shop. They have been running the general store for the past year, before that they had rented it to someone else for 10 years. The concrete structure has been in existence for the past 3 years and before that it was made of simple metal sheets and wood. It was also a two storey building, but smaller in size. The upper floor was used as residence. The earliest function of the shop was to iron clothes and was owned by someone else. The family has been in Dharavi for the past 20 years and have lived behind the shop during that time.
